His first album ''24 hours", released in 2004, and some well put together Eps brought Oxia at the top of the charts. But recently, we had the impression that the artist sank into oblivion. Tongues are wagging but Oxia surprises us with the release of his second album "Tides Of Mind", full of beautiful colors. Most of the time, releasing a LP every two years seems to be the necessary reminder for the survival of an International DJ/producer. But Oxia chooses to cultivate rarity and excellence. Since the release of his debut album, he went on with underground hits for Kompakt, Tsuba or 8bit and was pushed towards the front of the stage by Beatport as the figurehead of hexagonal tech house for a whole generation. Whether it was melodic techno with ''Domino'' in 2006 or more housy tracks such as ''Whole Life'' in 2010, Oxia understood how to capture the spirit of the last decade as an expert. ''24 hours'' his first LP exercise released on Goodlife in 2004 was marked by the Detroit influence. Olivier showed this obvious filiation with hypnotic rhythms from Jeff Mills techno, UR or the deep electro dynamic of Other People Place, Drexciya or Aux88. It took 8 long years so that he signs on Infiné to release ''Tides of Mind''. Oxia tells us everything in this first exclusive interview made for the the release of his album !
